Police have arrested two more people after a teenager was shot dead in Stockwell, South London. Lathaniel Burrell, 16, was shot dead at around 3.20pm last Tuesday (March 4) on Paradise Road, Stockwell.
A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and has been bailed.
She was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply of Class A and B drugs. These arrests come after Omar Prempeh, 32, was charged with murder on Saturday (March 8).
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on earlier today (Monday, March 10) and is due to appear at the Old Bailey at 10am tomorrow (Wednesday, March 12).
‘Please come forward if you have information’
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee said: “Though we have made progress with this investigation, we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Lathaniel’s murder to please come forward and speak to us.
“We’re particularly appealing to anyone who was in the area of Paradise Road on Tuesday, 4 March. I’d also appeal to anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage around this time to come forward.
“Our priority remains tracking down those responsible for killing Lathaniel and bring them to justice.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: “My thoughts are with the family, friends and wider community in Stockwell following the shocking fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy. This abhorrent violence has absolutely no place in our city.
“I am in close contact with police leaders - an investigation is underway to find those responsible and local residents will see increased patrols in the local area. I urge anyone with information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
