Flowers are blooming across London as the weather starts to warm up. Though spring isn't officially due to start until March 20, daffodils are brightening up much of the city, bringing a bit of joy to otherwise dreary spots.
If you're going to see daffodils anywhere, why not make it the 'most royal' of the Royal Parks? St James' Park is the home of royal weddings, jubilees, military parades and much more. As well as the view of soldiers on The Mall and Buckingham Palace, the park is full of wildlife, with beautiful lakes home to pelicans and all sorts of other animals, including swans and geese.
For some extra entertainment, you can watch the changing of the guard every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The lake, with its spectacular fountain, makes for a lovely sight in the summer. The excellent landscaping complements the world-famous landmarks beautifully.
Despite the royal links today, the park actually takes its name from a leper hospital - not so glamorous! Don't let that stop you from enjoying the bright yellow flowers that have popped up over much of the park, though. Scroll below to view all the photos.
