Over 240 high-value 'stolen items ' have been seized from a suspect’s address in Inglewood, Croydon, which could value hundreds of thousands of pounds. Some of the items include a £20,000 Patek Philippe watch and a £15,000 Rolex watch.
The items were recovered after the theft of the Patek Philippe watch, stolen in a Derby burglary, was traced to a suspect’s address three days later. A search warrant was then authorised by South Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on January 28 of this year.
The suspect was arrested on February 11 and officers uncovered a large number of suspected stolen goods. Over 240 items were seized with some believed to be genuine luxury pieces.
The recovered items included three Rolex watches, with the most expensive having an estimated market value of £15,000. The items' total value could reach into the hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Police say their investigation is ongoing and officers are working to identify and return the stolen items to their rightful owners.
Anyone with information about the stolen luxury goods is asked to contact 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
