Busy South London road shut for nearly an hour

A busy South London road has been shut for nearly an hour this morning (Thursday, March 13). The A215 South Norwood Hill is closed in both directions. The road is shut between B266 Whitehorse Lane and Holmesdale Road.

This is due to an accident, reports traffic and travel monitoring website Inrix..

Traffic is slow in the area, which sits between Crystal Palace and Thornton Heath.

The accident is along a residential part of the street, north of the railway bridge for Norwood Junction Station.
