Accident closes busy road in Romford

Two crashes have ground busy roads in East London road to a halt. Main Road in Romford saw a crash at around 8am today (Wednesday, March 12).

Traffic website Inrix reports the closure at Junction Road (the Esso Garage / old Police Station). It adds that there is congestion to Gallows Corner, over a mile back through Gidea Park.

A short while after there was a second collision on the northbound side of the Romford Gyratory.

The Met Police and London Ambulance Service (LAS) have been contacted for more information.
